My polo just started misfiring today (fun). Old ben come round with his laptop code reading magic and presented me with this code....

17925 main relay (j271) elec malfunction ( main relay circuit) . And 16687 which just means its misfiring on cylinder 3.

Looked on google and cant quite pin what the problem could be. I've read it might be fuses but ive checked all them and they're fine. Maybe check the relays? How would i go about that?

Had a similar problem with the polo before misfiring when the electric ignition rail or whatever its called packed up. Might be the same thing but they cost me £98 for a new one last time.

Any ideas? cheers guys

would say it is the coil did you get a warranty with the one you brought

did you fit out what the fault code with the air bag was??

all sorted, good old vw coilpack strikes again.
