| how the hell do you know who owns what fence
the fence to my left has blown over do i fix it
the fence to my right is in need of new pannels and the neighbours keep on asking me if i am going to do it
and the fence at the bottom of the garden needs new pannels and those neighbours moan cause i haven put new pannels in
?????????????????

| it might say on your boundary document, if you own the house. Although mine doesnt say this!
a good way of getting it fixed if all parties are interested is to all chip in for new fences, at least then everyone on all sides is happy.
if you want a quick fix you could put up wire, which is a physical barrier, if the neighbours dont like it let them fix it | |

| Normal rule of thumb is... Looking towards the front of your house, the boundary on your left belongs to your neighbour. The boundary on your right belongs to you. It just depends on local by-laws, there may be a difference according to regions... Like bridgedubber says, it will be on your boundary document, or Land Registry search documentation. Hope this helps dude... I just spent £2,600+ on new fences for our boundaries, and trust me, there was a lot of fence. Side, and back.
