Mk 4 to Mk1

Im putting a mk4 gttdi 150bhp engine in my mk1 cabriolet..........
Im in need of a complete mk4 wiring loom i have one but it's but chopped in places i can use it but it would be much less hassle to get a new one does anyone know of or have one??

also a list of parts i need.......are you ready??

Drive shafts (need some made) is tht possible??
brakes (porsche) if possible
suspension (coilovers)
Wheels and tyres
Red and clear back lights
single crystal headlights
H.i.d lamp and ballast set
Mk 1 interior in good nick
new roof in good nick or is it easier to have myn recovered??
single headlight grille
light brow front
someone who knows how to........do everthing lol
any parts you have for a mk1 golf cabriolet let me know here cheers!!!

drive shafts u can make / have made - easy
brakes u gotta find on fleabay or in scrapyard
coilies are easy - ebay again.....
wheels and tyres depends on what u want?? u going old or nu skool??
red and clear rear lights, get from inters or spring fest...mucho cheapness
as with headlights...
HID kit from flea bay
i know of a good set of white leather cab door cards.......
i know of a good roof in good condition too :-) call andy from AVS (the parts place i listed in recomended individuals) tell him i sent ya :-)

so shows and ebay it is then....can i get driveshafts made an an engineering firm you think?? as there is one next door to my lock up i will pop on and ask today

yeah, or make your own??? thay aint that hard to make :-)

cut and shut the mk4 and mk1 jobbies.....but dont do anything until the engine is in, as you need to work out suspension droop, full travel, lengths fully ectended and fully contracted etc....

and until the engine is in, and suspension on, you wont know any measurements.....

i best buy some coil overs then so i know where it's gonna sit.......may be possible to use original shafts all will become clearer further into this i think cheers 4 advice m8

if i were u i'd got for a 5 speed box, then u can def re use mk1 shafts...makes life easier.....

nah, mk1,2,3 gti, diesel etc - diesel would be better

Might be worth trying www.breakeryard.com. I use them to get bits n pieces. You enter your parts needed, and they'll contact you either via email, or on yr phone. Trick is not to take the first offer, there'll always be other offers after the first one..!!!
