calling diesel gurus

anyone know if its worth putting an exhaust on a diesel golf, basically i need someone who knows their diesels i wanna get a bit more power and response from my car but dont wanna push it too hard its done 193,000 miles

an exhaust is never going to give you that much noticable power by itself

is your car a turbo diesel? if so there are a couple of things you can do to it to get respectable torque and plenty of black smoke

Yes mate its a 1.9 tdi mk3 golf

a decat with standard exhaust is much more benifical cause a diesel needs backpressure to run nice and sweet i would say a decat with maybe a straight through centre section beware tho they can get really droney as a diesel is naturally more droney thn a petrol oh and id say either a panel filter or induction kit if you do make sure you get a cold air feed sorted just so good clean air going through the filter
