1993 Polo G40.

I bought an origional G40 from London a couple of years ago as was part way through a Project and needed the Supercharged engine. Found this one with only 80K on the clock. This car was 1 of 500 ever sold in the uk so was very rare to find an engine in such good condition.

Here it is in all its glory about a year earlier.


The guy told me he had hit another car and that the front end was partway through being rebuilt. Parts had been taken off and sold over the space of a few months so this is how it was when I picked it up.

I swapped my loon rear axle for this 1 as there where disc brakes fitted, but in the end this G40 chassis was going to take alot of time and money to fix up and use again so I put it on ebay and clubpolo but had no interest. So after 1 and a half months, as no one wanted the rare 1 of 500 bodys ever brought into England, I was forced to stip it to sell as parts.




Absolutly gutted, in more ways than one The Wheels where all buckled and so took the whole thing Filled with old metal and crap to bacons scrapyard where they gave me 30 quid...
