1972 Bay Window Camper - Crossover

Well at last we are seeing lights at the end of a very very long tunnel for dealing with the bodywork. We hope that within the next 3 weeks she will be ready for an MOT, then we then have to get the interior all done as she will be naked inside!
Therefore hopefully it will not be long before we shall soon beable to come along and met you all in our Bertha, we never throught that that day was ever going to come.

Hi yah, yes we have lots of pics of which I could put some one, yet the question is how do I do this please?
Meant to say that we attend the sheringham do when you are all there and will be again this time. Perhaps we should we a badge stating Bertha Parents lol.

Well here we go, here are some pictures of the work we have had to do to restore Bertha, rust was not the word for her in some places!! Will get more recent ones up when I can get them to download from my camara.
Complete new bottom and panels by the time we have finished, just got the seam welding and busy filling her now where the new bottom panels have gone. The back in with the windscreen to see if she will pass her MOT. afterwhich is the exciting bit for my wife as she finally gets to do the interior. Mind you got to get a new headlineing done from somehwere??

well wiggy bless his heart is certianly doing his best and all to sort out the wiring on her now as after doing the windows and talking to him, he started to help us with all the other problems. Oh how I bet he never knew us and Bertha!! lol as she is certainly more than just a challege. Loads of wires of which didnt go anywhere have been removed and now a few lights are working and he hopes that she should be ready for an mot feb 2011. YIPPEE yet dare I say it, nope. Anyway heres to WIGGY and his magic fingers.

MOT went well but for some reason would not go above 40mph and tick over when driving for me. Well gone back to the garage again for a full service and sort the job out once and for all !!!
Finds out that some nicking pup who had her before us has cros thread them - lovely now got to that problem solved so I guess NO Bertha still this month at the met.

OMG, guess what I have done today??? Yes you have it I have finally been behind the wheel of BERTHA and got her further than the church in the vilolage. Went to whittlesey and back again, YIPPEEEEEEEE elicol worked so now we have the job of getting all the shitty jobs sorted before she can go for her interior.
