| im tryin 2 get a cambelt kit 4 ma golf n was wondering if there was an additioinal engine number eg- ma code is ahf is ther a number aswel as this?????? | |

| Dunno much about this, Paul with the Black MK4 1.8T bought a Samco the other week at Spring Fest and all they asked was if it was a AHF. Dunno whether you need any other info for a belt dude. | |

No that number (ahf) is the engine code and I don't think there is a different belt on the engine's (gttdi tdi etc) besides more and more places now only want your number plate and that bring up all the relevant information for the car provided that you haven't altert it to much  | |

| wel a rang m.a.c.s at downham n it was £98 from there 4 the kit, but they had 2 different 1s 4 that engine code because there is an earlier n l8a engine, i founf the number on a sticker on top of the cylinder head | |

| thats coz they changed pulley system at certain engine numbers....
think they went from square tooth to round tooth, less belt noise etc?? they did the same on polo gt's and polo g40's?? prob summit like that anyway.... | |
