Hi guys and gals
I'm after abit of info on some gearboxes.........
I'm trying to find a box that can take 500+ Bhp????? Apparently there is a standard Vw box that does this but what is it??????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

woah!

not sure on the answer however most boxes used in high power cars are usually mixtures of OEM diesel, VR6 and G60 components due to ratios etc.

otherwise specialist companies will be your answer and dont forget a clutch, the clutch will be the first thing to explode and the box will be the limiting factor due to ratio's, your also gonna need a big LSD to be able to put so much power on the road

id imageine Rixy and probably Haz (on ec-dc) will have some input

Cheers mate........ it's not actually going in a vw tho GEARBOX HELP!!! Lol

My mate has a vauxhall nova he's building with a 2.0 turbo lump running about 500+ishBhp
He's looking for a vw/audi box because they're more reliable than vauxhall s***
